The structure of huawei optical connector

Connectors, permanent connections or huawei optical connectors can form fiber-to-fiber connections, which are different from plugging in and can be disconnected and reconnected. With the development of application fields, there are various types of fiber optic connectors. Different connector types have different characteristics, different advantages and disadvantages, and different performance parameters. But all connectors contain four basic building blocks.

(1) Optical cable: The optical cable is installed on the connector body. Its role is the input point of the optical fiber. Generally, a strain relief protective cover is installed on the joint between the optical cable and the huawei optical connector, which can provide extra strength for the joint.

(2) Pin: The optical fiber is installed in a long thin-walled cylinder, and the pin acts as a fiber alignment mechanism. The ferrule is drilled in the middle with a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the fiber cladding. The end of the fiber is at the end of the ferrule. Typically the pins are made of metal or ceramic, but may also be plastic.

(3) Connection device: Most huawei optical connectors do not use the male-female structure commonly used in electronic connections. The structure used is a positioning sleeve for the mating connector. Similar units can be mounted on fiber optic transmitters and receivers, which can be mated using a single connector. These devices are also known as pass-through bulkhead adapters.

(4) Connector body: also known as the connector shell, the huawei optical connector body accommodates the pins. Usually the connector body is made of metal or plastic and includes one or more assembly pieces that hold the fiber in place. The specific details of these connector body assemblies vary by connector model , but welding and/or flanging are typically used to mount strength members and cable jackets on the connector body. The pins extend over the connector body and snap into the mating device.
